In the midst of all the songs that get made and played I am content when Iain Anderson chooses to play one of mine on his radio program at  http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0074hkv  And I usually tell him so

But he has had more of an impact than he may realise.

Having decided to get some of my songs heard I experimented with several different names. There were so many Sheila Camerons I felt I needed to differentiate myself in some way and for a while I used S.Casey and Sheila KC. But neither of them seemed right. And although my usual name of Sheila K Cameron was rather long for a singer I began using it.

Then, on one of his BBC Scotland programs in October 2010, Iain Anderson took up a listener’s use of my initials and referred to me as SKC. And I immediately thought that is what I should have called myself, it is so desirably brief.  So, since then I have opted for Sheila K Cameron with SKC alongside in brackets. And perhaps in time the long bit will get dropped and I’ll be left with SKC.

Some support for that idea came in the comments on the HELLO MUSIC page
